Leisure Society is fronted by Californian designer Shane Baum, driven by his passion for how we should all seek to experience moments of pure leisure. The type of leisure best shared with family and friends and where memories are forged.
His eyewear collection is also not designed to be forgotten. Taking a less conventional approach, Leisure Society’s products are intended to be “heirloom designs”. The hope is that the pieces will be used, cherished, and passed along to future generations.
For this to be achieved, the quality of the materials and construction needs to be of an exceptionally high standard. The frames are built from titanium, cotton-based acetates, and ethically sourced buffalo horn, and feature details such as 12, 18, and 24k gold plating and diamonds. Gold plating is not just used for its aesthetic value, the technique used makes it highly resistant to corrosion, which adds to the longevity of the frames.
