Insurance & Finance
Your vision is important, and as you get older your risk of developing an eye condition rises. This is why we encourage you to consider signing up for insurance to cover your eye care should anything untoward happen.
The difference between health and vision plans
It’s important to understand the differences between types of insurance so that you know what you are covered for. In Texas, vision plans aim to help with items like eye examinations (without any eye diseases), glasses, and contact lenses. Health insurance is geared more toward covering any medical treatment that you need due to an injury or eye diseases. Diagnosis and treatments for dry eyes, eye allergies, cataracts, and glaucoma are usually covered under medical health insurance and not vision plans.
Investing in insurance can make it easier to prioritize your eye health and that of your family. We can’t advise you on the best vision plan in Texas, but we recommend you compare the ones we accept to see which suits you most.
