Charities We Support
Dr. Gonzalez and Dr. Nguyen, and the Eye Pieces company passionately believe that supporting the people in need is continuing to fulfill their hearts. At Eye Pieces we have many reasons why we give our time and money. The main reason is because Dr. Jaime Gonzalez and Dr. Hoa Nguyen came from extreme poverty when they were children. They had minimal funds when they were very young but they had an abundant amount of love and support from their families together with belief in themselves. Dr. Gonzalez and Dr. Nguyen both developed grit, perseverance, and compassion for others when they were children. As they both excelled in school and in their professional careers, they both believed that giving back to their community and to others in need was a way to reach fulfillment.
Reasons Why We Support Charities
There are other reasons why Dr. Gonzalez and Dr. Nguyen support many charities. It makes them feel like they are making a difference in someone’s life. It also makes them feel more impactful, it strengthens their main values, strengthens the community, makes everyone feel valued, it broadens their social connections, it evokes gratitude, and it also teaches their young daughter to give as she continues to grow.
What Type of Charities We Support
The charities that they support are charities that they are extremely passionate about. Most of the charities that Dr. Gonzalez, Dr. Nguyen, and the Eye Pieces company support are selected with children in mind. The charities they support deal with child hunger, child trafficking, newborn health conditions that require surgery, orphanages, and inner city children activities. They also support other charities that align with their vision and values that support homelessness, immobile/disabled individuals, and fighting adult hunger.
Making an Impact
They believe to live a life full of happiness for them, they have to make a meaningful impact on this beautiful world that we all live in. Their passion for giving is deeply rooted in their heart. They have been blessed by so many people that have helped them along their life journey. Dr. Gonzalez and Dr. Nguyen will never forget how poor they were when they were young. There were many lessons learned, life skills that were developed, resourcefulness in the home, and personal characteristics that were acquired. They call this the GIFT of poverty.
