About Us

Eye Pieces is a family-run practice offering a high-end eye care experience to local residents. Eye Pieces was launched in 2001 with our first location in Dallas, but Jaime knew we needed a practice in Plano and wanted to serve the community close to his home.

We are a true family business, owned by Dr. Gonzalez, O.D., and his wife, Hoa Nguyen, O.D. Jaime’s sister and nieces are also a part of the practice team, helping to run both Plano and Dallas locations. Our other Optometrists are:

  • Dr. Vinita Chiranand O.D., a native Texan and certified glaucoma specialist with extensive training in the treatment of ocular diseases
  • Dr. Chris Darilek O.D., a certified glaucoma specialist with an interest in specialized eye care for children and contact lenses for people with corneal disease
  • Dr. Jessica Vincenzi O.D., a dedicated eye doctor with a focus on pediatrics and glaucoma care

Along with our team of highly accomplished Optometrists, we have a great support staff, all of whom have been with us for over 5 years, and our Executive Director has been working with Jaime for over 15 years. You’ll be in safe hands with  Jacob and Evan (frame stylists), Misti, Evelyn, Stephanie, Kyra (our optometric technicians), and Guadalupe, Ashley (our insurance coordinators).

We offer a selection of clinical and holistic services, including comprehensive eye examinations and specialized eye exams for children. We can diagnose, treat and help you to manage a wide range of eye conditions and diseases, from dry eye to glaucoma. We also offer other specialized treatments such as BioDOptix® corneal treatment and TempSure Envi skin treatment.

If you need new eyewear, here at Eye Pieces we offer a collection of high-end brands at both Plano and Dallas locations including Balmain, Jaques Marie Mage, and Chrome Hearts. Our team will be happy to help you select the perfect frames to suit you. We can also help you with contact lens fitting, with our lens specialist happy to assist anyone who hasn’t tried lenses before or who has a complex prescription.
